Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney has made a new attempt to bring Gareth Bale out of retirement, according to reports.
McElhenney, who owns the Welsh club, has been keen on signing Bale for his boyhood club ever since he took over the reins at Wrexham.
As per the reports, McElhenney has made a fresh bid to lure Bale out of retirement and to join his hometown club.
Though Wrexham’s co-owner is eager to bring Bale to his club, it seems that it would be difficult to make it happen.
Bale, who joined Real Madrid in 2013 from Tottenham Hotspur, has had a difficult spell at the Spanish club.
Wrexham are currently a National League club, which is the fifth tier of English football.
If Wrexham could somehow manage to sign Bale, it would be a major coup for the club.
He has been linked with moves away from Madrid, the Spanish club’s reluctance to let him go has made it difficult for him to find a new club.
