Smokey Robinson claimed that while she was a rising star and he was married to his first wife, he had a "beautiful" romance that "just happened" with Diana Ross.
In a column that was published on Thursday, he acknowledged to The Guardian, "I was married at the time."
We were collaborating when it just happened. But it was lovely.
She is a stunning woman, and I still adore her.
He said, "She's one of my best friends. She was young and attempting to organize her career."
"I was attempting to assist her. In fact, I took her to Motown."
"She wasn't pursuing me, and neither was I after her. It just occurred."
