Pete Davidson spent eight years as a cast member of Saturday Night Live, but he still feels uneasy about taking over as host.
Davidson visited Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show to promote his new sitcom Bupkis, and the two naturally spoke about Fallon's forthcoming hosting stint on Saturday, May 6.
The comic said that despite being a veteran of Saturday Night Live, he was surprised by how challenging it is to produce an episode.
When he recently visited Studio 8H to meet the show's new cast members.
"That show is difficult!" said Davidson. I had a strange little job there because every now and again, they would simply let me do what I wanted.
However, I thought, "You guys work really hard!" I immediately thought, "I'll be in more than one sketch." That is crazy.
Davidson established himself as the resident young person on Weekend Update throughout his tenure on SNL.
His appearances on the program gave him the opportunity to talk about his relationships and mental health issues, which eventually turned into tabloid and social media fodder.
