Unwind with us this Casual Friday as we delve into the heart of the Field Gulls community. From engaging articles and series to lively discussions, Field Gulls offers a unique space for fans to connect and share their passion. But what truly sets it apart is its community. Each member, from readers and commentators to staff writers, has a unique story about how they found Field Gulls and why they stayed. So, what’s your story?
A Community Growing Together
Usually, in these Friday Casual sessions, we’re talking about anything but the Seattle Seahawks. However, for this week, we are still talking about the Seattle Seahawks. More or less.
Some of you are new to the site and others have been around in some capacity (reading/listening, commenting, staff writing, etc.) for most of FG’s existence.
However, we rarely, if ever, ask what or why you decided to frequent Field Gulls. Until now!
What Made You Interested in Field Gulls?
Is there a particular article, series, or author that convinces you that FG is the one (if not the number one) go-to place for Seahawks coverage? I know I was hooked on Field Gulls as a kid back in (I think) 2007) just browsing game threads and articles written by John Morgan, Scruffy Lefty, Shrug, and others.
This type of sports blog was relatively new at the time and paved the way for the massive changes to the media landscape we see today. Back then, I was a very excited and uninformed teenager commenting on Field Gulls. Now I’m the super excited and uninformed adult who actually runs this place.
Tell us about your experience
Tell us your story in the comments section about your Field Gulls trip! And for those of you who tune in but don’t actually comment, don’t be shy!
Conclusion
With a wide variety of content types on offer, from articles and series to discussions and commentary, the site has managed to appeal to different types of Seahawks fans. However, what really makes Field Gull special is its community.
From readers and commentators to staff writers, everyone has a unique story of how they found it and why they stayed in Field Gulls. So, what’s your story?
